Photo Gallery / Singing Christmas Tree 2005

On December 10th and 11th the HGBC Adult Choir presented the Christmas Musical Forever Gloria. Practice on the musical started the first weekend of September. Construction on the tree began in earnest about one week prior to the performance and was finished on time due largely to the efforts of Jesse Harrah and his family. Brandi Barbee, Director of Music, directed the choir. Click on a thumbnail image for a larger view.

Tree continues to take shape.

Putting more of the finishing touches on the metal framework.

Note, stairs had to be built so choir members could "climb" into the tree.

After the framework was assembled inside the church, the tree needed to be decorated. Lights are being added to the tree in this photo.

And more lights are added...

Finished product with the lights turned off. Harmony and Tyler shown checking things out.

...and now the tree, all lit up! 4300 white lights!!

On the evening of December 9th the choir gathered for their final rehearsal.

Everybody in place except the bottow row.

Final Rehearsal: Finally, everyone has found their spot and the lights are turned on.

This is a "behind the scene" look.
